Lego Robotics

Lego Robotics helps encourage interest in STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math while having fun!

Kids can start with the basic WeDo Lego sets, which teach following directions using pictures.

Once the project is completed the kids get to connect their creation to a laptop and see if it works!

Older kids can build more sophisticated projects, advancing to the Lego Mindstorm system.

The Grange Lego program is led by Gloria Damazio Montero and Ruth Miller.

Gloria Montero has worked in after school programs and in the school district for 15 years. She enjoys all ages of youth and watching kids learn. She has been a 4H and Grange instructor for 17 years. She has worked hard to bring a vision of family fun and having fun learning to the Grange.

Ruth Miller has a background in computer networking as well as welding, and while raising a family enjoys sharing a love of learning and Legos with kids, and teaching them to explore.
