Mt View Grange #98, White Salmon WA
The Mt View Grange in White Salmon was founded in 1890 as a family friendly, non-partisan organization to support farmers and bring neighbors together to meet local needs. A building for the Mountain View Grange #98 was completed in 1934 by volunteers and is still used daily by all kinds of groups and events. It is run by an all volunteer Board.
The Mt. View Grange serves the White Salmon area and surrounding communities. Regular renters include Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, Annette Wahner’s Columbia River Dance Academy – kids 5 to 18 years old, The Gleaners, Jazzercise, Secret Salsa Society classes, Swing Dance classes, and Tango Dance classes. The Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4H use the Grange for free, and the Gleaners pay a lower rate and donate parts of their food to the WGAP food bank. The Mt View Grange enjoys a thriving dance community off all ages. Many folks come from Hood River, the Dalles and Stevenson to attend Salsa, Swing and Tango dance classes.
The Grange Board is committed to keeping rents low and available to the community, who rent the Mt View Grange for private parties, weddings, funeral/memorial services and garage sales.
