All About Us

What is the Grange?  The Grange is a family fraternal organization dedicated to the betterment of rural America through community service, education, legislation, and fellowship.

The Hamburg Grange #2103 was chartered on November 5, 2005, with 20 members.  We currently have 35 members.  We meet twice a month – 2nd Saturday of the month at 4PM and the 4th Thursday of the month at 7PM in the Hamburg Municipal Center, located at 61 North Third Street, Hamburg, PA.  We meet in the Blue Mountain Senior Center room. Please check our Upcoming Dates page for details on date or time changes for our meetings.

We are part of 11 other Granges within Berks County, the Pennsylvania State Grange, and the National Grange.  We participate with the Berks County Grange by attending the quarterly meetings, Berks Heim visitation, and County Junior camp.  We participate at State Grange functions by attending the annual State Convention, Young Married/Young Adult Weekend, and State Junior Camp.

We participate in the Hamburg Community by donating to various activities in the Hamburg area, such as the King Frost Parade, fire victims in the Hamburg borough, and Berks Enduring Freedom.  Some of our community service projects have included painting the flag pole at the Hamburg Public Library, building and maintaining the flower beds at the Our Town Foundation Welcome to Historic Hamburg signs, and sponsoring free movies at the Hamburg Strand Movie Theater.

We are the newest civic organization to the Hamburg Community and we are the only organization that includes all members of the family in our activities.  As you can see, we are a small group with a lot of energy and enthusiasm.  Our members range in age from 5 to 85, with most of us between 35 and 60.  If you are looking for an organization to join contact us or join us at a meeting and see what we are all about.  We are always looking for new members of any age, gender, or race, plus we are looking for new ideas and suggestions to make Hamburg a better place to live.

Please see our Facebook page for more information on our Grange.
