2014 Honors Night2014 Outstanding Citizens

Russellville Grange held an Honors Night on June 5, 2014, to recognize two Outstanding Community Citizens and a Scholarship Recipient. The Grange also honored several of its long-term members.

Brothers George and Gary Plumley were recognized as Outstanding Community Citizens for donating their musical talents to various causes. They perform Gospel, Country Gospel and Country Songs at Nursing Homes, Senior Centers, and Assisted Care Facilities in Chester and Southern Lancaster Counties, all at no cost.

The Grange awarded a scholarship to Taylor Edgington, who will attend Delaware Valley College in the fall. Edgington recently graduated from Octorara High School, where she was a member of the National Honors Society, Future Farmers of America and National Arts Honor Society. She also served as treasurer of the Future Farmers of America and president of the Ceramic High Fire Club. After college, Edgington plans to attend school to become a large-animal veterinarian.

The event also included recognition of 11 Russellville members for their years of service to the Grange: Betty Spotts (65 years); Frank Moroney (55 years); Rebecca Jennings (50 years); Melanie Murray (45 years); Jack Lindsey (40 years); Marjorie Holman (35 years); Stanley Reyburn (25 years); Jessica Reyburn (10 years); Harvey Rodgers (10 years); Fran Sharon (10 years); and Frances Sharon (10 years). Congratulations to all!
