Gratiot Grange #1898 members at their June meeting made treats for the  Ashley Nursing Home.  This is a community service project that the members try to do every month at their meetings.  The items made are usually themed to match the upcoming holiday.  As Independence Day was approaching, the project was “fire crackers”.   We dipped the tops of  marshmallows in blue chocolate and then topped them with a cherry.  Though the purpose is to have stemmed cherries (to represent the fuse), we did without the stems in case any of the residents might eat them.
