The Grange has a long history in Molalla
On October 16, 1873 Molalla Grange #40 was organized. Meetings were held in Jacob Robbins barn and also the schoolhouse on his farm. This Grange did not survive long.
Granges formed in the general area included Needy #81, Upper Molalla #82, Teasel Creek #255, Boise #256, and on February 21, 1902 Molalla Grange #310 was organized with 122 Charter Members.
At the first meeting of Molalla Grange the name was chosen. The following officers were elected:

Steward: George Adams
Assistant Steward: Arthur Kayler
Chaplain: Mrs. Schamel
Treasurer: Major Hungate
Secretary: Mattie H. Leavitt
Gatekeeper: Edward Hammond
Ceres: Maud Rastall
Pomona: Emma Case
Flora: Hattie Miller
Lady Assistant Steward: Eleanor Moody
The Grange hall plans were accepted and a building committee consisting of Geo. Adams, J.W. Thomas and Albert Noshberger were set to work. The proposition from the Harless Bros. was also favorably considered at $40 for the Grange Hall location.
