Lookingglass Parade and Cleanup Day; Farm and Community Day
The Lookingglass Parade will start at noon on Saturday, May 5, 2018. The weather is expected to be warm and sunny! Bring the entire family for an enjoyable day. Please show your community pride: help with the Lookingglass Parade and Cleanup Day by picking up and properly disposing of trash along the roads of our community.
We are pleased to announce that we have signed the world famous Douglas High School Jazz Band, a 16 piece ensemble, recently returned from state invitational concerts, to provide entertainment on the main events stage after the Lookingglass Parade. Under the direction of Hannah Abercrombie, this is a great group of musicians; a real treat for our Community. In the band will be baritone saxophonist Kevin Nelson, Lookingglass Explorer/Volunteer Firefighter. Approximately 1:15 pm start time, Saturday May 5th.
Food will be available for purchase, prepared by the Lookingglass Volunteer Firefighters Association. Various farm animals will be available for viewing and petting starting about 11:00 am. Some of the Lookingglass Farm Market vendors will have food products and plants for sale.
