New Community Service Project
The Chemo Cap is closed with a budget surplus thanks to our skilled makers, Joann Schlenger, Carol Bennet, Kitty Arnold, Ginny Grodeska, Denise Warren, Peggy Castronova And Sally Smith.
The crafting of 2 types of Sewn Surgical Pillows will begin and as requested by member, Diana McKnight, who recently benefited greatly from the one she received on a recent hospital stay. Victoria Kushnir will donate the fabric from her “massive stash” and fiberfill will be purchased with the grant funds that remain.
Supplies and Instructions will be available beginning September 2nd, from the Red File Tote. Collection of the pillows for donation will begin October 1st. Project will close Dec. 31.
Joann Schlenger has a completed Presentation of the Caps project. The writing of the secondary project summary, for the State Session Display, will be done by a talented Volunteer good with short submission deadlines. Nothing too fancy needed, just a summary of the outcome of the Grange Grant activity chosen. See Victoria for more info.
