Pleasant View Grange members honored two community members at their May meeting:
Jerie Tichenor of the Meriden-Ozawkie Library and Nancy Leek of the Ozawkie City Council for their work with the library, and the Ozawkie city sewer project, respectively.
Membership awards were presented to Amy Kramer, Betty Stiles and Kenny Stiles.
All received their Silver Star certificate and pin. Also at the meeting, Chaplain Mandy Bostwick gave a short remembrance ceremony for those Grangers that have gone before us.
We have been busy making fleece blankets for Project Linus, donating items for United Methodist Women birthing kits, and saving stamps, used prescription bottles and Box Tops for Education for various projects.

Throughout November, our members distributed dictionaries at six schools in our county – which means that all third grade students in our county public schools each have a new dictionary of their own. They were all eager to take a peek in their books and will use them in the classroom.
