Blood Drive and Hoagie Sale

On Tuesday, October 7, 2014 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm the American Red Cross will be at Mountain Grange Hall, 1632 West 8th Street, (Kingston Twp.) Wyoming.  Walk-ins welcome!  Stop to donate blood on your way home from work. 6,000 times a day someone receives blood from a Red Cross donor yet only 3% of the population donate blood. NEW DONORS WANTED.

 

On the same date, Tuesday, Oct 7 from 2 pm to 7 pm, Mountain Grange No. 567 will be selling their famous Italian hoagies for $5 each.  These hoagies have 5 types of Italian lunch meat, cheese, tomato, Romaine lettuce, and onion on a bakery fresh roll.  Word has gotten out about these hoagies and last time the  Grange sold out of them.  To reserve your order, phone 570-696-4931 and leave a message on the answering machine. Walk-ins welcome, but you take the chance that the item will sell out again.  Donate blood and take hoagies home for supper.

 

After the blood drive and hoagie sale, Mountain Grange No. 567 will hold its monthly meeting.  Visitors are welcome.  If you think you might like to visit a Grange, October 7th might be the time do to it.  Grange meets at 7 pm on the first Tuesday of each month.

 

Sunday, October 12th from Noon to 5 pm Heritage Day will be observed at Francis Slocum State Park, 565 Mt. Olivet Rd, Kingston Twp, Wyoming in Pavilions #1 and #2.  Mountain Grange No. 567 will again be on hand to tell about the history of Grange in the USA and the new endeavors of Grange today.  Children will be able to participate in making a healthy snack and will receive a DVD compliments of National Grange about Eating Well on a Budget.  We hope to see you there!
