Grange Closure During Pandemic

To: ALL GRANGE MEMBERS And THE LOOKINGGLASS COMMUNITY
From: GRANGE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Re: Covid 19 and Oregon State Executive Order No. 20-12
Lookingglass Grange #927 Written Plan

The Oregon State Grange has issued a directive stating that, pursuant to the executive Order No. 20-12 issued March 23, 2020 by Oregon Governor Kate Brown, as a fraternal organization, all Granges must close to the public unless certain specific conditions are met. We have chosen to cancel all Grange meetings, rentals, and activities (other than required maintenance) until further notice.
Essential non-profits in the area may need to use the Grange Hall as a meeting place due to social distancing requirements necessitating a larger area (square footage). To satisfy the needs of the community and meet the requirements of the Executive Order 20-12, the Lookingglass Grange is instituting the following policies:
The Lookingglass Grange will designate a member of the Executive Committee to institute, implement, and enforce social distancing policies consistent with Oregon Health Authority Guidelines when teleconferencing or meet from home options are not available for any approved meeting.
When public services require in-person interactions, social distancing measures must be established, implemented, and enforced to the maximum extent possible.
Shared surface contact areas (i.e. doorknobs, faucet handles, chairs, tables, etc.) will be sanitized with a CDC compliant sanitizer or equivalent prior to and after any meeting.
A seating plan that maintains a minimum distance of at least six feet between individuals will be enforced.
There shall be no sharing of office supplies, cups, utensils, or other small items between attendees. Each attendee will be provided with a personal copy of any related documents prior to any meeting.
Windows shall be opened and ventilation/heating systems will be operated during any meeting if possible.
These policies will remain in effect until further notice.
