Edneyville Grange and Community Development Club
May 02, 2018
The meeting was held at the Edneyville Community Center with Wendy Henderson presiding. The invocation was given by Don Henderson and followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. A delicious covered dish dinner was enjoyed by all. Birthdays were celebrated. Volunteer hour sheets were distributed.
Minutes of the April were approved as sent out to members.
During the trash pickup on April 21, 21 scouts and grangers picked up 25 bags of trash. Wendy thanked all who helped with the dinner for the firemen. The Grange will provide desserts for the Scout BBQ. Other activities include a cleanup at the library and ECC activities of a yard sale and plant swap.

Levi Gilbert received his Eagle Award during a ceremony at St. Paul’s on Saturday. He is the 236th Eagle awarded by Troop 605 which has been sponsored by the Grange for 71 years. Don presented Levi with a plaque from the Edneyville Grange . Levi will be working at Camp Daniel Boone this summer teaching Indian Lore.
The program on EMS services was presented by Katlin Loose and Nick Johnson. 911 is the number to call for an emergency. Most of the responders are paramedic and care can be started during the trip to the ER. Patients with heart, stroke, pediatric, and severe trauma emergencies are transported to Mission Hospital. The county has a machine to do chest compressions and Edneyville purchased one. Two paramedics are on the ambulance 99% the time. It is helpful to have both the house and mailbox marked with reflective numbers.
Possible Eagle projects are signage at the library and for the Grange.
The Sundae Social will be on August 25. The summer lunch program will begin in June with the Grange serving on Fridays. Liinda was thanked for the plants for decoration.
The closing prayer was provided by Don Henderson.
Respectfully,
Liz Enloe
