Sad that the East Sangerville Grange Coffee House season is over? Well guess what — It’s NOT! The postponed February coffeehouse will be held on Saturday, April 26th. Come enjoy “Home Grown Classics” – a night of great music played by local performers. You’ll hear oldies with JT Curran, blues to Bluegrass with Sid Stutzman , and Jazz standards with Jason Curran and Peter Ippoliti. String Field Theory members Dawn Potter and Brian Smith will join in as well , as the three ensembles mix and match musical licks through out the night. This is an “off-calendar” show, so please spread the word! Click over to our “Upcoming Events” page to see ticket information and times.
Meanwhile, thank you to everyone who attended “Cultivating Community 2014: Mapping the Maine Highland Food System” on Saturday, April 12. It was a great day! We’ll be posting links soon to presenter information and other resources that were shared that day. Stay tuned!
And have you heard the news? MOFGA has approved the creation of a Maine Highlands Chapter. The East Sangerville Grange is will host the new group and its events. The first will MH MOFGA gathering will be a Chapter open house and potluck, Sunday May 4th from 11-1 pm. More details to come soon. Save the date! This event and all the MH Chapter events are open to all. MOFGA membership is not required to participate.
