Community Service Projects


Central Community Grange annually contributes items for the Troops.

Central Community Grange in coordination with the Boylston Senior Society and Boylston American Legion presents the Quilts of Valor to local veterans.

Central Community Grange provides Dictionaries to the third grade classes at various local schools each school year. The dictionaries are not just dictionaries but also include the Constitution of the U.S., the Declaration of Independence, brief biographies of all U.S. Presidents, world maps, multiplication tables, periodic tables of elements, weights and measures, information on the 50 states, countries of the world, and planets in the solar system.

                    

Each Memorial Day Central Community Grange sells hamburgers on the Boylston Common as part of the Town wide Memorial Day services. Funds raised during this event helps Central Community Grange to continue to support donations to various causes.

Central Community Grange makes monetary contributions each year to support the Worcester County Food Bank. Contributions are made through the annual fund drive by a local radio station. Central Community Grange helps support the Westborough and Worcester Food Pantries through their donations to the Worcester County Food Bank.


Also food and gift card donations to local supermarkets are made to the Boylston Food Pantry as well as Westborough Food Pantry.

Berlin/Boylston School Garden Project: In keeping with the Grange’s agricultural roots Central Community Grange supports the Berlin/Boylston School Garden Project. The Grange has donated garden tools as well as funds to help support the Gardens and has made a long term commitment to Agricultural Education.

     Each year Central Community Grange offers a College Scholarship to Boylston and Westborough High School students. For additional information and application see the Scholarship page.

Each year, Central Community Grange, in association with Massachusetts State Grange, sells/serves Lobster Rolls and New England Claim Chowder (cups and bread bowls) at the Big E in the Massachusetts Building.
